December-2023 Cup of Comfort Graph-Along
The Holiday season is upon us and this is the last installment of our Cup Of Comfort GAL.
I thank you all for sticking with me through a turbulent year and being patient with the release of the monthly squares.
The holiday season is al about spreading goodwill to your fellow man and traditions. My challenge to all of you is to share your traditions with all of us on the Facebook page. I would love to know what your favorite holiday traditions are and you may inspire others to try something new.
At my house we open one gift on Christmas eve which is your new holiday pajamas and everyone gets and ornament to commemorate something form the past year. When my kids were little we had an advent calendar that hung on the wall and I would fill each mitten with little treats, on Christmas eve I would include a clue that they would have to solve to find their ornament. Every year I make my special night before French toast which bakes in the oven while we open presents and I only make it this one time a year. I am a big tradition person and love that those memories will be carried through out my children’s lives.
I have many more traditions that we do but won’t bore you with the rest. Let’s see instead how you and your family spend whatever holiday you celebrate.
For December I have created 3 mugs: Candy Cane, Tree and Birthstone.
I have not started my December Mug as my months have been hectic lately so I have not chosen my colors, but I will give you the colors I plan to use.
For this month the colors I chose for the Candy Cane are:
Background: Red Heart /Aran
Mug: Big Twist/ Light Green
Design: Red Heart / White, Big Twist / Deep Red, Big Twist/ Mustard and Big Twist / Varsity Gold
Steam: Red Heart / Java
