Scary season is upon us!

October is the month of creepy crawly things that go bump in the night and this month’s challenge is all about what scares you the most.

For me it is the fear of heights and medical needles that are my biggest fears. Spiders rank up in the top 3 too.

For me I like to push myself to face my fears in small ways.

I have slowly increased the heights I can go. I will never be riding a roller coaster, but I can make it to the top of the ladder (a small ladder, but I can reach my ceilings, LOL). The one thing I can’t do is the glass railings at the mall. Those completely freak me out, I will just stick to the wall side.

My fear of medical needles is a phobia from childhood, not sure how it started. This became a problem with my pregnancies. A very nice nurse told me to bring a washcloth to bite down on when I needed to get needles and guess what it works. I still can not see them coming so I close my eyes but at least I can stay still for the needle. BIG WIN in my book.

Spiders are just creepy, so I avoid them as much as possible. That is what significant others are for.

I am always curious what fears others have and how they overcome those fears. Share with us on the Facebook page what are your biggest fears and what you do to deal with those fears or like me with spiders you just accept the fear as who you are.
